I asked Dombrowski to check Murphy's calendar. Is it conceivable that JetBlue's amended carry-on baggage policies were not properly explained to her, leaving her unprepared to pay a fee?

  • A JetBlue employee called Murphy and apologised for the "confusion."
  • She asserts that they said I got lost in the mix. JetBlue will reimburse you for the cost of your checked luggage.
  • Would JetBlue have finally identified the issue and paid the bag fee? Maybe. Murphy disagrees, though.
  • Without your help, she continues, "I doubt they would have cared in any way." I truly appreciate your assistance.
  • She goes on to say, "Such a fuss for such an absurd policy change." Not that I picked a cheap seat either.

She is accurate in both cases. It is not inexpensive food when it costs $412. Simply put, JetBlue baggage policy changed its restrictions to boost revenue. Also, it is impolite to charge extra for carry-on luggage for travellers who purchase these tickets. According to JetBlue's well-known phrase, this is not the way to "bring back humanity" to flight travel.
