People are being encouraged to consume more plant-based foods to reduce the negative impacts of the modern food supply on human and global #health . The #foodindustry is therefore creating a new generation of #plantbased products to meet this demand, including meat, fish, egg, milk, cheese, and yogurt analogs

Vegan foods are dairy-free or meat-free foods derived or processed from plant-based sources. Meat substitutes are goods that have a similar taste, flavor, and appearance to real meat yet are healthier. They are largely made up of soy, #wheat , and other ingredients. #tofu is the most extensively used meat substitute, and it may be substituted for pork, #chicken , cattle, and other meats.

Similarly, #dairyfree food and beverage products are made from almond, soy, rice, coconut, and other alternatives. Milk, ice cream, cheese, butter, and other dairy alternative-based goods are widely consumed.
