Singapore's efficient and cost-effective transportation system of SMRT has made the lives of passengers simple. The city has earned a great deal of reputation owing to its widely connected train system and extensive cooperation of SMRT for making daily commutation simple and convenient. Adding Travel Convenience & Better View of North-South & East-West Line 

SMRT has introduced the all-new spacious, wide, technically superior, and comfortable trains on the North-South and East-West lines. The high-capacity trains have much bigger window panes for the convenience of passengers to have a better view outside. On top of that, extra spacious trains are ideal for accommodating more passengers compared to previously running trains on the same lines. As a result of this, SMRT has reduced the waiting time of passengers on the mentioned while providing an easy travel experience inside new trains.

Specifically, new trains of SMRT have more cabin space, along with extra areas to accommodate wheelchairs and ensure comfortable travel for disabled passengers. Even 2.4m wide single-frame windows make a perfect area for having a breathtaking view of the city while traveling. Moreover, the new trains have more informative LCD systems to provide complete route information even from a far-off distance. 

Internationally Imported Trains for Passengers' Comfort 

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has replaced the past three generation trains of SMRT on the North-South and East-West lines. Specifically, green and red stripes trains have been imported directly from different nations. The trains are manufactured in Germany and assembled accordingly in Changchun, China, and after that, imported directly to Singapore for enhancing the public travel experience. A total of 66 trains have been purchased so far and the target is to achieve 106 new trains by the end of 2026.
