A bit of history about the Mary Lou Noticed: In 1985, Jane Lou Noticed opened Heard's Country Garden Nursery, a wonderful nursery saved on a rarely moved path in Westminster, California. The gardens were filled with unique and frequently previous fashioned annuals and perennials such as "Hug Me On the Garden Gate", "Bleeding Heart" and "Four O'Clocks".

These, alongside unique garden art, English and old garden roses, soy geraniums, herbs, vines and little woods built the nursery a delightful and particular destination for a visit. In the center of the pebble-dusted paths was a tiny quaint old wooden "cottage" filled with gifts, publications, potpourris and small bags of the best possible normal fertilizers available peppermint oil for ants .

In 1993 Mary Lou created the notion of a garden visit, "actual gardens by real people" ;.This is a self-guided tour, where you drive at home to home at your leisure to view the gardens shown on the tour. The Heard's Garden Tour was an immediate success, getting in over 800 garden fans the initial year and in later decades, pulling in thousands of visitors.

In 2000 Jane Lou Seen was identified as having cancer and 2 yrs later she'd close her precious room, and in her final Heard's Country Garden Publication she wrote. "Though you can find however a lot more gardens within my temperature that have to be planted - the human body is calling for a rest. Expressing good-bye is the toughest point I have had to do."
